The aim of the Ancrypto wallet application is not only to provide storage for crypto assets, but also to introduce a groundbreaking feature that allows for simple sending and requesting of crypto via chat. With this vision, it aims to become the world’s first crypto wallet to revolutionize the industry.

Objective
Empower both banked and unbanked populations by introducing an accessible and user-friendly decentralized financial ecosystem, laying the foundation for widespread cryptocurrency adoption. Ancrypto aims to pioneer an innovative feature that simplifies the process of sending and requesting cryptocurrencies through chat.
My Role : I collaborated with stakeholders to grasp the product vision and objectives. We prioritized the necessary features for the MVP and I helped design the mobile app user interface.
I started with defining the requirements for the app by working with stakeholders on different levels/teams
The Approach
Problem statement
We put together some basic problem statements to better understand the pain points with the crypto transactions process
- Cryptocurrency transactions and managing addresses are too complicated, which makes it hard for users and frustrates them, preventing wider adoption
- Novice users face difficulties in comprehending crypto wallets due to a scarcity of user-friendly solutions, hindering their entry into the crypto space
- Users are concerned about the potential for losses arising from security issues, making it a significant worry in the crypto space
Process
We started by creating user stories and defining the most common use cases. We felt that it was essential to understand exactly what our user’s common behaviors were using crypto wallets
- Led the UX design process from concept to end-solution by engaging in user research and strategy to produce sketches, wireframes, and iterative clickable prototypes for user testing
- Through user interviews and surveys I began to understand the needs and behaviours of crypto users
- I spent time using findings from user research to design better information architecture
- Conducted competitor analysis to identify a gap in the market
- Developed a comprehensive style guide, designed a distinctive logo, created custom icons, and incorporated animated graphics
- Produced design deliverables such as wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs and documentation to guide the development process
Outcomes Achieved:
The Ancrypto mobile app was launched with an intuitive and visually appealing interface to Transact seamlessly anytime and anywhere using the world’s very first chat & pay feature
The app received positive feedback from users with 50K downloads and 300+ daily active users
Seamless In-Chat Transactions: Users can effortlessly conduct transactions within chat
Users have the capability to request payments from others, enhancing the versatility of the platform.
Simplified Address Management: The necessity to remember lengthy addresses has been eliminated as users can conveniently save them as contacts for easy access.
The platform now boasts over 300 daily active users, indicating a significant increase in user participation and adoption.
Focused on the simplicity, clarity, and consistency to enhance usability and visual communication within the app
